Weary with toil, I haste me to my bed,
The dear repose for limbs with travel tired;
But then begins a journey in my head,
To work my mind, when body's work's expired:
For then my thoughts, from far where I abide,
Intend a zealous pilgrimage to thee,
And keep my drooping eyelids open wide,
Looking on darkness which the blind do see
Save that my soul's imaginary sight
Presents thy shadow to my sightless view,
Which, like a jewel hung in ghastly night,
Makes black night beauteous and her old face new.
Lo! thus, by day my limbs, by night my mind,
For thee and for myself no quiet find.

one person i'm quite inspired by. the other happens to be edgar allen poe. hey, i'd love to read more of your work you know..
I think I have read Allen Poe.. But its not quite etched in my brain, his work.. Maybe you would like to forward a few recommendations of his work that are worth following up..
Shakespeare is deep. His kind of writing, I can adapt to. Like having a part of yourself in it so that you can identify yourself.. As for my writings, yes, there are many.. Its right from the inside, most of the times.. Would update my blog soon with some original stuff.
i'll be quite happy to read em.
and that's whats most important i guess. to leave back a part of you in what you write.
prose you should read, the pit and the pendulum, the fall of the house of usher, the gold bug.
one poem that i'm guessing you'd probably like is: the raven..
oh yes ofcourse! I hv read the fall of the house of Usher.. And its quite quite fresh in my mind.. A unique story.. About the other titles you mentioned, yeah, I will give them a read..
And I totally agree in what you said.. Leaving a part of you in your writings.. Thats one kind of impact I would like to leave behind.. And its always so honest, and unpretentious, and it does such a great justice to the moment.. And it calms you down too..!
calms you down, yes. writing as therapy. a napkin to tears. i'm so glad art exists. in whatever form!
:-) cheers 2 tht!
